Steven A. Bruso

RUTLAND – Steven A. Bruso, age 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at home in Rutland. Born in Stoneham, the son of the late Galen and Wilda (Hardy) Bruso.

Steve was raised in Lancaster where he graduated from South Lancaster Academy, class of 1979. After high school, Steve had a lifelong career in construction, eventually owning his own business, Bruso Enterprises.

He loved playing golf, hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and listening to music.

He is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Michelle Douglas and her husband, Ryan of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, Jack Bruso and his wife, Sandra of Fitchburg; 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Hunter, Archer, and Eve; his step-parents, Dennis and Audrey Bruso; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, April 4th, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association online at https://diabetes.org/?form=Donate .
