STERLING – Stephen R. Jablonsky, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Quabbin Valley Healthcare Center in Athol. Born in Revere, Steve was the son of Stephen R. Jablonsky, Sr. and Eleanor (Cheeseman) Chamberlain and lived 23 years in Sterling.
He is survived by his four daughters, Jennifer (Lewis) Bohannon of Westlake, Ohio, Katrina, Adriana, and Juliann Jablonsky all of Orange; a sister, Jacqueline (Peter) Cote of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Derek Carpenter, Jessica, Raymond, Stephen and Sam Bohannon; and his former wife, Mary Ann (Forand) Jablonsky.
Steve graduated from Saugus High School in 1960. After graduating high school, Steve enlisted in the United States Air Force and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War from 1960 to 1964. He worked many years as a computer specialist at Digital, Compaq, and later Hewlett Packard. He enjoyed playing pool at both the Sterling and West Boylston Senior Centers.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Steve’s family from 9 to 10:30 am on April 25, at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling, followed by a procession to St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment with military honors will follow at 1 pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon.
