EAST BROOKFIELD/PAXTON – Jennifer S. (Sabean) Robideau, 51, of Podunk Road, East Brookfield and formerly of Paxton, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 25, 2010.
She leaves her husband of 26 years, Thomas J. Robideau; two sons, Dustin T. Robideau of Dorchester and Jeremy D. Robideau of East Brookfield; a daughter, Kayla D. Robideau of East Brookfield; her mother, Patricia A. (Bateman) Sabean of Worcester; a brother, Duncan A. Sabean of East Hampton, Connecticut; a sister, Valerie D. Cortis of Lititz, Pennsylvania; and many nephews and nieces. She grew up in Hanson a daughter of the late Donald W. Sabean, and lived 18 years in Paxton before moving to East Brookfield last year.
Jennifer graduated from Thayer Academy and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Literature from the University of New Hampshire. She later earned her Master's degree in Technical Writing from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). She was a technical writer and editor at Data General from 1984 to 1990. For the last 12 years she was a Library Clerk at Richards Memorial Library in Paxton.
She had a strong faith and was an active member of the Christadelphian Ecclesia in Worcester, where she taught Sunday School for over 10 years, sharing her love for God with others. She loved to read and write and spent nearly her entire life around books in one way or another, her favorite being the bible. She loved all animals, particularly horses, which she owned as a youth. She was delighted to experience that love again by watching her daughter learn to ride and going to horse shows with her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 28th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 29th, in the funeral home, with burial following in Mooreland Cemetery, 251 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Christadelphian Ecclesia (for preaching efforts here and abroad), 218 Greenwood Street, Worcester, MA 01607; or the Heifer Project International, 216 Wachusett Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
