HOLDEN – Helen S. (Rozycki) Seman, 79, of Avery Heights Drive, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Holden Nursing Home, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Edward A. Seman; a son, Edward A. Seman, Jr. of Sturbridge; 2 daughters, Evelyn M. Sullivan and her husband Robert of Worcester and Doris A. Malette of Pembroke, NH; a granddaughter, Stephanie Malette of Seattle, WA, a sister-in-law, Helen Beck of Warren, NJ; 2 nephews, Samuel Foley of Garden Grove, CA and Gerald Foley of Beachood, NJ; and 2 nieces, Janice Foley of Waton, NJ and Valerie Foley of N. Arlington, NJ. A sister, Sophie Foley, and a brother, Joseph Rozycki, predeceased her. She was born in Harrison, New Jersey, daughter of the late Antionette (Dutka) Rozycki.
Helen was a secretary at Foster Associates in Holden for 15 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester and a former member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson. Years ago she was a Girl Scout leader and a camp director. More recently she knitted hats for newborns at nearby hospitals. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a local bowling league.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 17th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Helen will be held on Monday, May 18th, from the funeral home with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1326 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
