WORCESTER – Jane S. (Symonaick) Mulhearn, 83, formerly of St. Nicholas Avenue, died Monday, December 18, 2006 in Millbury Healthcare Center, after an illness.
Her husband of 36 years, Warren J. Mulhearn, died in 1983. She leaves her daughter with whom she lived, Maureen J. Chasse and her husband Larry; two brothers, Walter Symonaick of Auburn and Chester Symonaick of Worcester; a sister, Julia Gover of Millbury; four grandchildren, Joanne Cahill of Reading, Amy Perez of Dudley, Pamela Chasse of Dover, New Hampshire and Caren Chasse of Worcester; and seven great-grandchildren. A brother, Mack Symonaick, and two sisters, Sophie Sharrocks and Ann Brunelle, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Anthony and Helena (Ruchwa) Symonaick, and lived in Worcester her entire life.
Mrs. Mulhearn was a graduate of Commerce High School and worked as a sales clerk for Weintraubs in Worcester for many years. Previously she worked for Fortin’s Market. During World War II she made bayonet parts for Cornell Dubilier in Worcester. She enjoyed camping at Pout & Trout in Rutland, playing bingo and babysitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Mulhearn will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, in the funeral home.
