PRINCETON - Debra S. O'Donnell went peacefully to be with her Savior, in her home on Saturday, October 30, 2010. She was surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
Deb was born in Ithaca, New York on April 2, 1961, to Howard Loveless and Delores Taylor. She was later blessed with a step father Jack Becker, and a step mother Pam Bell. She is survived by her husband Dave, daughters Erika and Shannon, and son Parker; brothers Howard Loveless, Scot Loveless, Christopher Honness, Robert Taylor, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Kevin Honness.
Deb began her career as a Financial Planner in 1985, but left her career to be a stay at home mom when her first daughter was born. Her passion from a very young age was running. She began her running career in upstate New York where she won MVP seven years in a row, and traveled to States and Nationals multiple times. She continued sharing her passion of running when she moved with her family to Princeton Massachusetts, by coaching at Thomas Prince School. She shared her gifts of inspiration, encouragement, and faith with countless young runners over a period of seven and a half years, until her cancer wouldn't allow her to run any more. Her joy, love, and dedication were contagious and un-quenchable.
Deb's faith in her Lord Jesus Christ was both powerful and public. She lived in a way that brought many people glimpses of God's goodness. Even in her last days her main goal was spreading God's love and the truth of his power to save. She was a member of Heritage Bible Chapel, where she got involved with a missions team who traveled to Guatemala. She took each of her three children once, on three separate trips, where she acted out her desire to serve others before her self. Deb was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who will be missed incredibly. However her example, and will for good will continue to change lives for many lifetimes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3rd, in the Heritage Bible Chapel, 182 Brooks Station Road, Princeton. Deb has asked that no one wear black, she would rather everyone dress in their favorite colors, or anything bright and happy, since she is now celebrating in Heaven. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Deb's name to The Heritage Bible Chapel Guatemala Missions Team, P.O. Box 1096, Princeton, MA 01541.
