RUTLAND – Frances S. (Urbanovitch) Johnson, 91, of 268 Pleasantdale Road, died on Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Webster Manor in Webster, after an illness.
Her husband, Hilding A. Johnson, died in 1973. She leaves a son, Richard A. Johnson and his wife Lois of Rutland; four brothers, Adam, Alec, and Louis Urbanovitch all of Paxton and Joseph Urbanovitch of Port Richey, Florida; a sister, Stasha Urbanovitch of Worcester; two grandchildren, Laurie and Mark Farrell of New Hampshire; several nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Charles, Peter and Frank Urbanovitch and a sister, Adela O’Leary, predeceased her. She was born in Paxton the daughter of Anthony and Sophie (Bullock) Urbanovitch and lived 70 years in Rutland.
Mrs. Johnson, along with her husband, owned and operated their family farm in Rutland for many years. She also worked at the Brick Steamer Restaurant in Paxton, and enjoyed gardening.
The funeral service for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Donations may be made to the Friends of the Rutland Council on Aging, 250 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
