Siroon "Sid" Davagian

September 25, 1918 — January 6, 2021

WORCESTER - Siroon “Sid” Davagian, 102 passed away on January 6, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, George Davagian in 1996.

Sid is survived by her daughter, Judith of Worcester, and her son George and his wife, Linda of South Carolina and Cape Cod. She also leaves two wonderful grandchildren – Kimberly Davagian of Venice, CA, and George Davagian III and his wife, Christie of Orlando, FL. In addition, she leaves two great-grandchildren, Lily and Haley, and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Suren Kinosian predeceased her.

Sid was born in Worcester, the daughter of Kevork and Elmas Kinosian. She lived in Worcester her entire life. She graduated from Commerce High School and Salter Secretarial School.

Sid was a lifelong member of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. She was the first chairman of the church’s woman’s guild, which was formed in 1949. She also taught Sunday school. She was a member and an officer of the Senior Board of the former Hahnemann Hospital Auxiliary. She also did volunteer work for many years at Hahnemann Hospital.

Sid’s greatest happiness was being with her family. They meant everything to her. She was always there for them. They felt so fortunate to have her love, support, and her sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services for Sid will be held privately at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 12th with Der Aved Terzian officiating. A private viewing hour will be held prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
