STERLING/GILFORD, NH – Shirley J. (Jasper) Stockwell, 87, passed away on March 15, 2022. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Dorothy (Squires) Jasper and had lived in Worcester and nearly 30 years in Sterling before moving with Walt to their adopted home in New Hampshire in 1995.
Her beloved husband of 62 years, Walton “Walt” F. Stockwell, passed away in 2018. She is survived by her sons, Scott F. Stockwell of Sterling and Mark R. Stockwell and his wife, Roslyn of Parker, CO and their children Joseph, Karen, and Marsha Hairston. She also leaves several cousins, nieces, and nephews along with many dear friends from her years in Worcester, Sterling, and New Hampshire.
Shirley worked as a nurse at Memorial Hospital in Worcester and as a nurse and community coordinator at Wachusett Home Health Agency in Massachusetts. She also was a senior case analyst at Allmerica Financial in Worcester and retired from Community Health and Hospice of Laconia, NH.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30th at Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s name to Squam Lakes Natural Science Center of Holderness, NH or Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund of Meredith, NH.
