WORCESTER - Shirley (Warren) Harrison of Worcester died on February 4, 2024, at the age of 103. She leaves two daughters, Marilynn Bonnivier of Skaneateles, NY: Sharon Green, wife of David Vinick of Morrisville, VT and one son, John W. Anderson and his wife Maureen Tivnan Anderson of Shrewsbury. She also leaves eight grandchildren: Paige Hassell of Albany, NY: Erika Davis of Skaneateles, NY; Jamie Anderson and his wife Nina of Framingham; Meaghan Lincoln and her husband Brendan of Dartmouth; Stephen Anderson and his partner Lisa of New London, CT; Erin Martin of Buffalo, NY; Hilary Payne-Vinick of North Ferrisburg, VT; Sarah Payne-Vinick and her partner Alex Walker of Hyde Park, VT. She also leaves nineteen great grandchildren: Oliver, Lydia, Alaina, Mallory, Haylie, Nick, Ally, Charlie, Ryan, Gabriel, Eleanor, Anastasia, Alden, Stephen III, Hannah, Emily, Jacob, Miranda, and Cameron. She also leaves one great-great-grandchild Carter.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, her husband Roy E. Harrison (2017), her son Stephen A. Anderson (2014), her sister Elizabeth Sivula and her husband Arthur, her daughter-in-law Rosemary Anderson, and her son-in-law Bernard Bonnivier.
Shirley was born at home in Auburn, daughter of Chester and Effie (Drury) Warren on July 5th 1920. She graduated from Auburn High School and the Salter Secretarial School. She worked for Paul Revere Insurance Company, Auburn High School, and as the secretary and bookkeeper for her husband's business, the Roy E. Harrison Paving Company.
Shirley was a member of the First Congregational Church of Paxton. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family, traveling, dining out, reading and doing her daily crossword puzzle.
Calling hours will be held at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden on Friday, February 16th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Paxton at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 17th. Burial will follow at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church St., Paxton, MA 01612.
