Sheila A. (Mcintyre) Shepardson

LEOMINSTER -- Sheila A (McIntyre) Shepardson, 75, passed away peacefully at home into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Born in Leominster on April 5, 1943, Sheila was the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Gauthier) McIntyre and lived 25 years in Sterling before moving back to Leominster in 1987.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 56 years, Edward Shepardson; two daughters, Joanne May and her husband, Ronald of Winchendon and Julie Roy and her husband, Eric of Bedford, NH; a son, David Shepardson and his wife, Sandi of Ashland; her mother, Evelyn (Gauthier) Lutz of Leominster; a sister, Linda Fletcher of Leominster; four granddaughters and two great granddaughters. Besides her father, Sheila is predeceased by her sister JoAnn.

Sheila graduated from Leominster High School and Montachuset Technical High School. She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at the former Worcester County Hospital and Oakdale Nursing Home in West Boylston. In addition to being skilled in crafts, Sheila was noted for her outstanding service to her community. She starting the James 2:15 Soup Kitchen in Clinton and donated her handmade blankets to Our Father’s House in Fitchburg. She was also a member of Angels for Hope.

A private funeral service honoring Sheila’s life will be held at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center in Sterling. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling.
