SHREWSBURY/HOLDEN – Sheila A. (Murray) Rocheleau McLaughlin, 48, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Sheila was born and raised in Holden, a daughter of Neil E. and Patricia A. (Pajala) Murray. She recently married her longtime companion, Robert J. “Zeke” McLaughlin, who passed away on December 4th. Sheila attended Notre Dame Academy in Worcester for 2 years, where she excelled in both basketball and softball. After graduating from Wachusett High School and Salter Secretarial School, she enjoyed a long career as an insurance agent for several local insurance companies. She was most recently employed by Home Depot. Those who knew Sheila best know the most important person in her life was her granddaughter, Layla Rose. They were best friends. Together they built amazing forts under the kitchen table, held countless pajama parties and spent hours just playing in the park. Layla Rose was truly the light of her life. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her daughter, Lindsay A. Rocheleau and her daughter, Layla Rose of Clinton; her parents, Neil and Patricia Murray of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Holden; her sister, Lynn P. Chevalier and her fiancé, Michael Coffey of Holden; her niece, April Rodrigues and her husband, Tiago of North Carolina; and her nephew, Benjamin M. Chevalier of Charlton. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael W. Murray. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sheila’s family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral service honoring her life will be held at 10 a.m. on December 13, at the First Congregational Church, 1180 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery, 1520 Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sheila’s name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
