Biography
WORCESTER – Selma (Berlin) Coblenz, 96, died on Monday, August 31st, in the Jewish Healthcare Center.

Her husband Max Coblenz died in 1991. She leaves 3 sons; Dr. William Coblenz and his wife, Randi of Arlington, VA, Michael Coblenz of Hopkinton, and Joel Coblenz and his wife, Amy of Needham; 3 daughters, Ellen Baker of Cambridge, Lauren Lemire of Waltham, and Jane, wife of Richard Aronovitz or Carlisle, MA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Sumner Berlin and by two sisters, Mildred Coblenz and Adassie Lederman.

She was born in Boston, daughter Louis and Dora (Reinherz) Berlin, and lived in Worcester for 70 years. She was a member of Temple Emanuel Sinai. Over the years she had been a secretary for College of the Holy Cross , Riley Stoker Corporation, and Morgan Memorial. She also worked at Lincoln Discount Drugs for many years. She will be missed by her family and her many friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence and the Jewish Healthcare Center.

GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00PM ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND AT HOLY SOCIETY CEMETERY ON HAVANA ROAD IN LIECESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME IN HOLDEN.

Memorial Observance will be held Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
