NORTH OXFORD/WORCESTER - Scott M. McKeon, 54, of North Oxford, passed away unexpectedly at UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Campus, Worcester, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.

He leaves his children, Jessica McKeon of Washington, DC, Kristen McKeon and Nicole M. Tivnan and her husband, Matt, all of Worcester; a brother, Richard D. McKeon and his wife, Cheryl of Sturbridge; a beloved granddaughter, Ella Tivnan; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A sister, Gayle Fitzgerald, predeceased him in 2007. He was born on October 3, 1959, in Worcester, the son of the late Richard D. McKeon, who died in 2002, and Barbara J. (Roberts) McKeon, who recently passed away in February.

Scott lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to North Oxford more than a decade ago. He was a 1978 graduate of Doherty Memorial High School and earned a graduate certificate in 2001 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, School of Industrial Management.

For 34 years, he worked for Norton Company, now Saint Gobain. In his younger years, he cherished his time as an employee at Worcester Airport for Eastern Airlines, Continental Airlines and Dynair. To all those who knew Scott, he would be the first one to lend a hand and help a friend in need. He enjoyed traveling, particularly to Las Vegas, entertaining friends and family, and his time fishing and golfing. Scott supported and donated his time to various local charitable causes.
