HOLDEN- Corinne "Queenie" (Schultze) Rixham, 62, of Jefferson, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 in UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus, Worcester, after an illness. She was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of William and Corinne E. (Bilodeau) Schultze, and has lived in Jefferson since 1968.
She leaves her husband of 42 years, Ronald L. Rixham; a daughter, Kimberly (Rixham) Charboneau and her husband Alan of Turners Falls; a sister, JoAnn M. Mosher of Lancaster; three brothers, William R. Schultze of Winchendon, Robert W. Schultze of Clinton and Joseph Edinger of Ohio; four grandchildren, Nicole, Jaclyn, Jordan and Tyler; a great-grandson, Braeden; and many nephews and nieces.
Corinne was a graduate of Clinton High School in 1966 and got her nickname "Queenie" for being named her high school's prom queen in 1965. She worked for the Mass. Department of Developmental Services, and previously worked at Holden Hospital and was the kitchen manager at Holden Nursing Home. She was a certified food service administrator and certified medical health aide. Corinne enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas and spending a lot of time with her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 17th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 18th, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 50 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
