Sarah (Taft) Lipson

Biography


WORCESTER – Sarah Edith (Taft) Sylvetsky Lipson, age 94, died on Sunday, March 27th at her residence.



Her second husband, Reuben Lipson, died in 1980, her first husband, Irving Sylvetsky in 1959. She leaves her long time companion, Max Bernstein; four sons, Barry Sylvetsky and his wife, Amy of Boca Raton, FL, Howard Sylvetsky and his wife, Helen of Middleton, MA, Michael Lipson and his wife, Michele of Miami, FL and Ari Lipson of Miami, FL; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Abraham Taft and her sister, Anne Kaplan.



She was born in Clinton and was a daughter of Morris and Goldie Taft and had lived in Worcester for 50 years.



She owned and operated Irving’s Tots to Teens, a children’s clothing store in Clinton for many years, which she founded with her husband, Irving Sylvetsky.



FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30TH IN TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Worcester Hebrew Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Auburn.



Memorial Observance will be held through 3PM Wednesday afternoon at The Willows at 101 Barry Road, Worcester.



Memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Chapter of Hadassah, P.O. Box 20653, Worcester, MA 01602
