WORCESTER – Sara E. (Kramer) Stone, age 93, died peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Rosenberg) Kramer. Sara lived most of her life in Worcester, before moving to Boynton Beach, FL in 1989, with her beloved husband of 56 1/2 years, Bernard Stone. Sara moved back to Worcester in 2017 to be closer to her family. Sara was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth Israel in Worcester before moving to Boynton Beach, where she and Bernard were members of Temple Torah.
Sara lived a long life and was deeply devoted to her family. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her son, Larry Stone and his wife, Melissa of Los Angeles; her daughter, Barbara Stone of Taunton; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexandra and Lauren Stone. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Stone in 2009. Sara was also aunt to David Gilvarg of Natick, Jonathan Gilvarg of Framingham, Alison Davis of Needham and Richard Witty of Greenfield. Sara was great-aunt to 10 nieces and nephews and great-great-aunt to 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Holy Society Cemetery, Havana Road, Leicester. A Memorial Observance will immediately follow the interment service at the Jewish Healthcare Center. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
