HOLDEN – Sandra Mae (Jordan) McAuliffe, 65, passed away at home on Sepember 13, 2012 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 40 years, Jack H. McAuliffe; a daughter, Maria McAuliffe and her fiancé, Gary Janke and her granddaughter, Jeweliana Janke with whom she lived. She also leaves three daughters, Cassandra and Stephanie McAuliffe and Michelle Jones; five sons, Randy, Lucas, Micah, Joey and Heath McAuliffe; three brothers, Michael Jordan and his wife Lynn of Barre, Paul Jordan of Wheelwright and Thomas Jordan of Hyannis; a brother-in-law, Michael McAuliffe and his wife Susan of Holden; several foster children and grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, James Bocian, and two brothers, Joseph and Daniel Jordan.
She was born in Holden, the daughter of Paul and Marjorie (Boardway) Jordan and has lived in Holden for 24 years. Sandra was a healthcare worker before becoming a foster parent where she cared for so many children for the past 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and loved to spend time at the beach.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 17, from the funeral home with an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
