WORCESTER – Sandra J. (Lee) Rand, 58, of 714 Grove Street, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2005, in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.
She leaves two brothers, Robert E. Lee, Jr. of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and Thomas R. Lee of Rockville, Maryland; a sister, Mary Ann Warren of Ft. Collins; an aunt, Jean M. Harrington of Worcester; a cousin, Janet Harrington Slabich of Paxton; her caregiver, Janet Winquist of Worcester; and eight nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert E. and Helen C. (Thomas) Lee, and lived inWorcester her entire life. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston.
Sandra was an Administrative Assistant in the western and import departments of Lawrence R. McCoy & Co., Inc. in Worcester for 30 years. Previously she worked at St. Vincent Hospital and Guaranty Bank. She enjoyed reading and time spent with her dog, Charlie.
The funeral service for Sandra will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations in Sandra’s memory may be made to Foothills Theatre, 100 Front Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
