Biography
WORCESTER – Sally (Fine) Smith, age 98, died on Wednesday, February 15th in Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham. Her husband, Louis Smith, died in 1993. She leaves a daughter, Linda, wife of Gerald Sweet of Saugus; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Marilyn Perez in 2011. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Morris and Ida (Shulman) Fine and had lived in Worcester 70 years then to Saugus for 20 years and moved to Stoneham 7 years ago. She was a life member of the Jewish Healthcare Center and was a member of Pioneer Women. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and canasta. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00PM ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19th IN THE JEWISH HEALTHCARE CENTER, 629 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in the Worcester Hebrew Cemetery in Auburn. Memorial Observance will be held Sunday afternoon at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester and 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, February 20th at the residence of Gerald and Linda Sweet, 25 Carr Road in Saugus. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, 01609.
