Sally P. McGuire, 86, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024. She is the loving wife of the late James X. McGuire.
Sally was born on April 26, 1938 in Worcester, the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Lombard) Harrington. She went to Wachusett Regional High School and eventually became a Registered Nurse.
The Matriarch of her family, Sally absolutely adored her children and grandchildren. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Holden Hospital for over 40 years, an example of her love and ability to care for others. She enjoyed knitting and would always indulge in a game of Cribbage or Bingo with her family and friends.
Sally leaves behind her son James McGuire of Worcester; grandchildren, Stephanie Strathmeyer and her husband Leandro, Alison McGuire, Amanda Woods, James McGuire, Jr. and his wife Katie, and Lukas McGuire and his fiancé Megan Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Hazel McGuire and Isabella Johnson; long-time friend Leighanne Strong; and several nieces and nephews. She will be met in Heaven by her husband James X. McGuire, son Charles McGuire, daughter Nancy Woods and her husband, Patrick, and sister Nancy Sampson.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 7th from 9:30am-11:00am at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street in Holden. A funeral service will follow at 11am in the funeral home. Interment in Parker II Cemetery, Parker Road in Princeton. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
