RANDOLPH / WORCESTER - S. Charles “Chuck” Talamo, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Beth Israel - Deaconess Hospital in Milton. Born and raised in Worcester, Chuck was the son of Joseph and Rebecca (Feingold) Talamo and lived in Randolph for the past 47 years.
He is predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Ruth (Fischman) Talamo. He is survived by his son, David Talamo and his wife, Alissa and their daughter, Ilana of Framingham; his daughter, Rhona Talamo of Chestnut Hill; three stepsons, David Grab and his wife Kathleen of Middleboro and their three children Kelsey, Joshua and Tori , Lawrence Grab and his wife, Anna of Provincetown and Marc Grab and his fiancée, Nuchie of Provincetown; a stepdaughter, Meira Kaplan and her husband, Scott and their two children, Alyssa and Jake.
Chuck was a graduate of Worcester Academy, class of 1949. He later received a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree from Boston University. He worked for the United States Government as an Internal Revenue Agent.
He was proud of his heritage and possessed a strong Jewish identity. Chuck was a devout member of Shaloh House Chabad of the South Area in Stoughton. He enjoyed bowling, hiking and traveling to different countries. One of his favorite past times was collecting stamps and coins. Chuck was a kind and gentle spirit who never complained during his multiple health issues over the recent years.
Chuck’s family will honor and remember his life privately at B’nai Brith Cemetery in Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shaloh House Chabad of the South Area, 50 Ethyl Way, Stoughton, MA 02072.
