S. Joanne (Bohaker) Smith

HOLDEN – S. Joanne (Bohaker) Smith, 94, of Winfield Rd., passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Autumn Village in Worcester. Born and raised in Worcester, Joanne was the daughter of Wilfred and Laura (Warrell) Bohaker and lived most of her married life in Holden.
Her husband of forty-nine years, Randolph C. Smith died in 1991. She is survived by nephews and nieces including, Dean Schoenfeld of Gainsville, Florida and Paul Schoenfeld of Millbury. She is predeceased by a brother, Warrell Bohaker and a sister, Barbara Schoenfeld.
Joanne was a past president of the Holden Garden Club and a member of various local women’s clubs. She and her husband Randolph were long time members of the Worcester Country Club. She was a member of the chancel choir at First Baptist Church during the years of T. Charles Lee and Barclay Wood.
A memorial graveside service and interment will be in the spring at Rural Cemetery in Worcester. Contributions in memory of Joanne may be made to the music program at First Baptist Church, 111 Park Ave., Worcester, MA 01609.
