Ryan Matthew Brunelle

November 10, 1988 — May 12, 2016

Ryan attended Sterling public schools and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 2007 where he was a standout player on the varsity golf team. As a youngster, Ryan enjoyed participating in most outdoor activities and played basketball, baseball and soccer in Sterling’s youth sport programs. Ryan later graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

After graduating from college, Ryan took a position at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina as a facilities project manager. Ryan was independent and adventuresome, with an entrepreneurial spirit. He enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer including hanging out with friends, family and his dog, Brooke. Besides his passion for playing golf, Ryan enjoyed surfing the warm waters of Florida, playing guitar, fishing, and snowboarding.

Ryan’s clever sense of humor, warm smile and infectious laugh will be missed by his many friends. Besides his parents, Ryan is survived and will be lovingly missed by his brother, Kevin Brunelle of Somerset; a paternal grandfather, Donald Brunelle of Blackstone; maternal grandparents, Claire (Provencher) Fournier and Robert L. Fournier both of Dalton; aunts and uncles, Michael Brunelle and his wife, Cathy of Wilbraham, Donna Benedict and her husband, Robert of Douglas, Michelle Gagnon and her husband, George of Douglas, Robert G.
