Ruth (Lithwick) Weiss

March 7, 1940 — July 31, 2022

NATICK -- Ruth Victoria (Lithwick) Weiss, 82, a loving wife and mother, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Ruth was born on March 7th, 1940 in Ottawa Canada the loving daughter of Irving and Ellen (Truk) Lithwick. She moved to Boston to work as a Physical Therapist at Boston City Hospital, where she met her husband Earle. They were married on December 1, 1963 and raised two children, Ilana and Joshua, in Natick, MA.

Ruth, better known as Vicki to her close family and friends, was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and Bubby. She was known for her infectious personality, unwavering optimism, selflessness, and compassion towards others. Everyone Ruth befriended or meaningfully encountered noted a feeling of unusual warmth and sincerity.

Ruth loved to spend time at her summer cottage on Cape Cod, swimming, playing volleyball and reading. Her additional happy times were spent walking daily with her husband and dogs, which she did for many years. She cherished watching her three granddaughters -- Kayla, Aylee and Talya -- grow. Her relationship with them brought her great fulfillment. Ruth was an accomplished Physical Therapist, both at Boston City Hospital and later in her career at the Natick Visiting Nurses Association. She also spent countless hours volunteering in the Jewish community and was a lifelong learner of Judaism.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Earle B. Weiss, her children Ilana and Joshua, her daughter-in-law Adina, her three granddaughters, her sister-in-law Lois Sarab, her brother-in-law Robert Cohen and numerous close cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and Israel. Besides her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her brother Dr. Norton Lithwick, her sister Dr. Sheila Cohen, her in-laws, Murray and Ruth Weiss, and her brother-in-law, Allen Sarab.

Her funeral will be held at 2:00 PM at Tuesday, August 2nd at Glenwood Cemetery located at 25 Glenwood Street, Natick. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
