Ruth (Stuart) Conforti
April 9, 1919 — April 19, 2005
STERLING – Ruth (Stuart) Conforti, 86, formerly of 97 Redemption Rock Trail went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2005.
Her husband of 56 years, Frank M. Conforti, died in 1996. She leaves two sons, Wayne D. Conforti and Daniel F. Conforti both of Titusville, Florida; three daughters, Ann Fleming of Sterling, Elaine M. Arsenault of Skowhegan, Maine, and Naomi E. Sohlman of Princeton; a sister, Esther S. Clark of Manchester, Maine; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; many nephews and nieces. A granddaughter, five brothers and a sister pre-deceased her.
She was born in Waterboro, Maine, daughter of Oscar W. and Emma F. (Smith) Stuart, and lived in West Boylston and Sterling.
Mrs. Conforti was a Dietary Aid and Nurse’s Aid at Holden Hospital and Oakdale Nursing Home for many years, retiring in 1972. She was a loving foster mother to many children with the Children’s Friend Society. Mrs. Conforti was very active in church work her entire life.
Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, in High Plain Cemetery, High Street, West Boylston (Oakdale) followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. in the Heritage Bible Chapel (978-464-5100), 182 Brook Station Road, Princeton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 22, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 122A), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Bible Chapel, P.O. Box 1096, 182 Brooks Station Road, Princeton, MA 01541.
