WEST BOYLSTON – Ruth H. (Bolton) Cranston, 90, of 87 Maple Street, West Boylston, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, August 2, 2005.
Her husband of 42 years, Walter C. Cranston, died in 1983. She leaves her son, Robert H. Cranston and his wife Marilyn A. of West Boylston; 2 daughters, Barbara C. Edilberti and her husband Randy J. of West Boylston, and Sally R. Trottier and her husband Raymond P. of Laconia, NH; a brother Lester A. Bolton, Jr. of CA; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Thomas Chapman Cranston.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Lester A. and Sarah (Eddy) Bolton. Mrs. Cranston graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. She was part owner and operator of W.C. Cranston & Son Inc. with her husband for 25 years.
A funeral service for Mrs. Cranston will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2005 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, (Rte. 122), Holden. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Church Street, West Boylston. A calling hour is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Boylston Fire Department Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
