PAXTON – Ruth V. (Ferreri) Osgood, 97, formerly of Paxton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Shrewsbury Nursing and rehabilitation Center. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of Peter and Viola (McElroy) Ferreri. She was a long-time member of St. Columba Church in Paxton, serving in the Womens' Guild and Parish Council. She was active in girl scouts and boy scouts. As a homemaker, Ruth sacrificed tirelessly for her family, first her children and then her grandchildren and great grandson. Later in life she earned the name "Grams" from family and neighbors alike.Ruth will be lovingly remembered and missed by her son, Peter N. Osgood and his wife, Elaine and her granddaughter, Veronika of Westborough; her daughter, Ruth Ann(Osgood) Davis and her husband, Richard of Paxton; six grandchildren, Jonathan Golen and wife, Katrina of Worcester, Lisa Gregoire and husband, Steve of Southbridge, Nicholas Golen and wife, Evelyn of Paxton, Christopher Davis and Michael Davis of Paxton; her step-grandchildren, Sarah Cassell and Adam Davis; and her great-grandson, Sunny Osgood Paladino. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman H. Osgood in 1977; her daughter, Terry Marston; a brother, Peter Ferreri; two sisters, Joan and Rita Ferreri and granddaughter Jessica Golen.Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Avenue, Paxton on Monday, November 13th at 10:00am.
