WORCESTER – Ruth C. (Webb) Swenson, 86, formerly of 123 Holden Street, died Thursday, October 21, 2004, in the Sterling Healthcare.
Her husband of 44 years, Harry E. Swenson, died in 1985. She leaves three sons, Gary C. Swenson and his wife Dorothy A. of Lunenburg, David H. Swenson and his wife Jessica C. of Escondido, California, and Robert I. Swenson and his wife Laura G. of Melbourne, Florida; a sister, Barbara A. Pearson of Worcester; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Albert C. and Ruth (Anderson) Webb, and lived in Holden from 1968 to 1996.
Mrs. Swenson graduated Commerce High School in 1936 and was a bank teller at Worcester County National Bank, retiring in 1984. She was a Quaker, a member of the Worcester-Pleasant Street Friends Meeting and was active with the Greendale YMCA. She enjoyed arts, crafts and playing bingo.
A graveside service for Mrs. Swenson will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 25, in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. There are no calling hours.
