Biography
WORCESTER - Ruth (Brookman) Berman, age 90, died in Framingham on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
She was the wife of Donald Berman who died in 2012. She leaves a daughter, Lynda Venet, wife of Harold Sock of Framingham; a son, Michael Berman of Fountain Valley, CA; a brother, Robert Brookman, and his wife Ellen of Providence, RI; two grandchildren, Eric Venet of Newton, and Brandon Berman and his wife, Candice of Huntington Beach, CA; and one great-grandson, Jaxon Berman; and nieces and nephews whom she loved.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Ann (Hirsch) Brookman, and had lived in Worcester for 60 years moving to Framingham 20 years ago. She had been a secretary for Modern Manufacturing for many years.
She was a long time member of Temple Emanuel, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Health Care Center and the National Council of Jewish Women. She had been a volunteer at Potter Road School in Framingham.
GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 AM ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12TH IN B’NAI BRITH CEMETERY ON ST. JOHN’S ROAD IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME IN HOLDEN.
Memorial Observance will be held through the afternoon of Friday, February 12th and also Saturday evening, February 13th at the residence of Lynda Venet and Harold Sock, 1337 Old Worcester Road, Framingham.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
