Russell W. Iacovelli

LEOMINSTER - Russell W. Iacovelli, 82, of 87 Carriage Court, formerly of Sterling, died Monday, September 19, 2005 in Leominster Hospital.
His wife, Lillian (Lyman) Iacovelli, died in 1979. He leaves a son, Raymond L. and his wife Rose Macey of Santa Barbara, California; a daughter, Karen M. Iacovelli of Sterling; four grandchildren, Crystal, Shawn, Kristen and Deanna; nieces and nephews. He also leaves his companion of many years, Salina Lizewski. A granddaughter, Suzanne, four brothers, Robert, Raymond, Ralph and Richard Iacovelli and two sisters, Rachael Hogan and Ruth Kruczynski all predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Pasquale and Addie (Battersby) Iacovelli. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Iacovelli was a C.P.A. and partner with William S. Reagan & Company in Fitchburg for 20 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6907 in West Boylston, the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189 in Sterling, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Accountants.
The funeral service for Mr. Iacovelli will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte.12), Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Post 6907, 27 Pierce Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
