WORCESTER - Ruben Lichtig, age 90, died on Wednesday, February 15th at the Holy Trinity Nursing Home in Worcester.
He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Rachel (Portnoy) Lichtig. He leaves his daughter, Hannah Mansfield of Worcester; and granddaughters, Jessica Mansfield and Stephanie, wife of Matthew Terrill. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, John Mansfield who died in 2016. He will be missed by his great grandchildren who gave him so much joy.
During World War II Ruben survived several concentration camps. After the war he moved to Israel, then England, and finally to the United States. He was a hard worker who took great pride in a job well done. He was employed by Supreme Coat Company in Worcester for many years. He enjoyed going to dinner and a movie, which he did weekly with his wife and often his grandchildren. His family, friends, and dogs brought him the greatest happiness.
GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00PM ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH IN B'NAI BRITH CEMETERY ON ST. JOHN'S ROAD IN WORCESTER. UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.
