HOLDEN - Ross Elliott Johnson, 52 passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the UMMC Lake Ave. campus. Ross was born in Worcester and lived in Paxton most of his life.

Ross leaves his parents Ronald and Melinda (Lindberg) Johnson of Paxton, MA, His two brothers, Ronald (Ronnie) Johnson and his wife Nancy of Bourne, MA and Russell (Rusty) Johnson and his girlfriend Kiann Robinson of Bonita Springs, FL.; four special nephews, Ronnie and Nancy's two sons, Ronald (Tripper) Johnson and Timothy (Timmy) Johnson of Cape Cod, MA and Rusty's two sons Daniel (Danny) Johnson and Aidan Johnson of Grapevine, TX.; two cousins, Wendy Moffat and her partner Kristin Grimes of Littleton, MA and Jim Moffat and his two sons of Rutland, MA.

Ross graduated from Paxton Center School and Wachusett Regional High School. He graduated from Quinsigamond Community College in 1991 with an Associate degree in Criminal Justice, graduating from North Adams State College, in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, and from Mount Ida College, in 1999 with an Associate degree in Applied Sciences/Public Health.

Ross was a licensed funeral director from 1998- 2015 and was Assistant Vice President /
Funeral Director at the Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Ross also worked in the Security field for several years.

Ross enjoyed a great time with his friends always with a beautiful smile. Ross was always willing to give a helping hand whenever needed. He had a great love for all animals, especially cats.

Ross believed all people should live their lives the way they wanted too and to be happy.

Per Ross' request, services will be private. Donations, in his name may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Rd, Sterling, MA 01564. IF your family is considering adding a dog or cat to your family please consider giving a rescue a fur-ever home.
