Rose V. (Kane) Strike

PRINCETON – Rose V. ((Kane) Strike, 92, of 23 Old Colony Road, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in West Boylston after a brief illness.

Her husband, John H. Strike, died in 1987. She leaves a daughter, Kristina E. and her husband John E. Dower, Jr. of Princeton; two grandchildren, Jennifer E. Dower of Providence, Rhode Island and John E. Dower, III of North Grafton. She was born in Worcester the daughter of John F. and Nellie J. (Baldwin) Kane and lived 41 years in Princeton.

Mrs. Strike was the personnel manager at R.H. Whites in Worcester where she worked 25 years, retiring in 1977. Previously, she worked at Barnard’s Department Store in Worcester. She was a member of Prince of Peace Church in Princeton.

The funeral Mass for Mrs. Strike will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 28, in Prince of Peace Church, 1 Worcester Road, Princeton. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Abby Kelley Foster House, 52 High Street, Worcester, MA 01609. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
