HOLDEN – Rosaire R. Parent, 77, of 29 Flagler Drive, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, in Umass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Marjorie H. (Hart) Parent; a daughter, Carol A. and her husband Alan C. Coolidge of Jefferson; a brother, Guy Parent of Burlington, Vermont; three sisters, Anita Godin of St. Albans, Vermont, Theresa Perry of Ensoburg, Vermont, and Monica Racine of Essex Junction, Vermont; two grandchildren, Mark Coolidge and Christine Shepard; and several great grandchildren. He was born in Enosburg, Vermont, the son of Albert and Lydia (Dragon) Parent, and lived 27 years in Auburn, 17 years in St. Albans, Vermont, and several years in Holden.
Mr. Parent worked at Worcester State Hospital for many years, and was an avid fisherman.
The funeral for Mr. Parent will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2004, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
