WEBSTER - Ronald “Ronnie” L. Morberger, 78, of Webster passed peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Life Care Center of Auburn after a year-long fight with cancer.
Born in Manhattan, New York in 1944, Ronnie was the son of Alice (Korosi) Morberger, a Holocaust Survivor, who died in 2011 and Alexander Morberger , who died in 1964.
Remembered by those who knew him as a very kind and unforgettable person, Ronnie had very fond memories of his young childhood and playing in the parks of Manhattan before moving to Webster in 1954. Ronnie also enjoyed chatting about memories of vacationing in Upstate New York with his mother and father as a young boy.
As a proud member of the Jewish community, he enjoyed chatting about going to school at Congregation Sons of Israel in Webster, and later graduating from Bartlett High School. Ronnie worked in the finance department at TJX Companies for 31 years before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed watching the birds and the neighborhood from his front window.
Ronnie will be lovingly missed and remembered by his friends and neighbors, especially Ron and Heidi Tetreau, who became his “family by choice”.
Those close to Ronnie will gather to honor his life at a Graveside Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3 at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road in Worcester. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Life Care Center of Auburn, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501.
