SPENCER – Ronald L. Clockedile, 79, formerly of Leicester, died on Friday, April 7, 2006, in Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou (Bullock) Clockedile; two daughters, Deborah M. Williams of Oakham and Carolyn M. Ward of Leicester; two brothers, Lawrence R. Clockedile of Bayonet Point, FL and Arthur L. Clockedile of Paxton; two sisters, Gladys E. Wood of North Oxford and Ruth M. Spaulding of Jefferson; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Kenneth and Harold, and two sisters, Doris M. Smith and Irene C. Fitzgibbon, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester the son of Leroy T. and Marion L. (Blanchard) Clockedile, and lived 47 years in Leicester.
Mr. Clockedile was a union truck driver for local International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 170 for many years. He was both a World War II and Korean War Army Veteran where he was awarded two bronze stars. He was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
The funeral service for Mr. Clockedile will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 10 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. A calling hour will held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home.
