Ronald C. Jones

Ronald “Ronnie” C. Jones, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Knowllwood Nursing Center, Worcester. He was born in Boston, the son of Charles M. and Charlotte (Vodden) Jones and grew up in New Hampshire.

Ronnie graduated from Appleton Academy in New Ipswich, NH and then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He had a successful career as a truck driver and owned his own company, R & R Jones Trucking Co. for many years. Ronnie and his wife, Gerda married and lived in Worcester for several years before settling in Holden. Ronnie enjoyed worldwide traveling; especially to Germany, cheering on the Bruins and watching old westerns. He will be dearly missed.

Ronnie will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 39 years, Gerda M. (Dombrowski) Jones; his step-daughter, Doris Jones and her Fiancé, David Merice of Worcester; his step-sons, Peter Robichaud and his wife, Mary of NC and Michael Robichaud and his partner, Carl of FL; his sisters, Charlene Oullette and Susan Jones of NH; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ronnie was predeceased by his brothers, William “Billy” Thomas Jones and Philip Jones.

The family would like to thank the dedicated and devoted staff at both the Knowllwood Nursing Center and Jewish Healthcare Center for their loving care of Ronnie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hours from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Knollwood Nursing Center, Employee Fund, 87 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA 01606.
