BROOKFIELD – Roger “Pepere” P. Vaudreuil, 88, of 28 Fiskdale Road, and Bradenton, Florida, died peacefully after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, in UMass Memorial Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Florence E. (Perron) Vaudreuil; two sons, Wilfred R. Vaudreuil of Worcester, Leo G. Vaudreuil and his wife Toni of Worcester; a daughter, Denise M. Charpentier and her husband Roger J. of Brookfield; two sisters, Gizelle Cote of Huntsville, Alabama and Yolanda Santora of Mesa, Arizona; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A daughter, Jeanne Bourget, and 13 siblings predeceased him. He was born in Lotbiniere, Quebec, Canada, son of Joseph and Maria (Lemay) Vaudreuil, and lived in Worcester, Princeton and 20 years in Brookfield.
Mr. Vaudreuil worked for G&R Screw Machine in Worcester for 28 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Brookfield. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, playing cards and playing the violin.
The funeral for Mr. Vaudreuil will be held on Saturday, November 5, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 4, in the funeral home.
