Rodella A. (Sweet) Hebert

March 20, 1921 — September 21, 2005

WEST BOYLSTON – Rodella A. (Sweet) Hebert, 84, formerly of 114 Maple Street, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005, in the Westborough Healthcare Center.

Her husband, Richard J. Hebert, died in 1983. She leaves her brother, Redfield Sweet of Marcellus, New York; a sister, Jacqueline Hayes of North Grafton; nieces and nephews. A sister, Mahala W. Stiles of Holden died in 2004, and a brother, Arthur W. Sweet of Atlanta, Georgia, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Romey and Edna I. (Weatherbee) Sweet and lived 50 years in West Boylston. She was a graduate of the Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Hebert was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hahnemann Hospital for many years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston. She acted in local plays and enjoyed baking and gardening.

A memorial service for Mrs. Hebert will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, 51 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
