Robin J. Delaurie, 75, of Rutland passed away on June 16, 2024, in the comfort of his home.
He was born on September 23, 1948, in Worcester, the son of Norman and Barbara Delaurie. He attended Burncoat high school. After high school Robin began working in the automotive industry for several body shops and later opened his own autobody shop, North Rutland Autobody, where he supported his community for ten years.
Robin married Karen Ash in October of 1966. Their family grew with the births of their three sons, John, Chris, and Kevin. Together they raised their family in Rutland.
He was an outdoorsman who was always very fond of bow hunting and fishing. He had a passion for panning for gold in the Ware River. Robin was known for his great sense of humor, always bringing joy and laughter to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
He is predeceased by his wife, Karen Delaurie.
Robin is survived by his children; Kevin and Johannah Delaurie of Rutland, John Delaurie and his fiancé, Elizabeth Rossier of Rutland, and Christopher Delaurie and his fiancé, Jennifer Johnson of Barre, his siblings; David Delaurie of Boca Raton, FL, Norma Jean Huikku of Ocklawaha, FL, Michelle Delaurie of Deland, FL, and Linda Adams of Orlando, FL, his grandchildren; Brenna, Curtis, Siarah, Lillian, Jaclyn, Elijah, Abigail, Benjamin and his wife, Melissa Delaurie, and his great-grandchild, Benjamin Jr.
In accordance with Robin's wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held with his family.
