Robert Hill Newman

MAYNARD – Robert Hill Newman, age 73, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, with the love of his family surrounding him in spirit. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY, Bob was the son of Donald and Rhoda (Rosenthal) Newman.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute Bob stayed in Central Massachusetts, working as a Computer Engineer for Raytheon, Digital Equipment Corp., Compaq, and in his later years at The Home Depot.

Bob will be lovingly missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 48 years, Lori (Zitowitz) Newman; his devoted son, Jason Newman; and his brothers, Larry Newman and Andy Newman.

Family and friends will gather for a Graveside Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8th at Worcester Hebrew Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Auburn. Arrangements are in the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
