WORCESTER – Robert C. Nabhan, 80, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Holy Trinity Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in Worcester, the son of Nimr and Rose (Assad) Nabhan.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Annmarie (Forsell) Nabhan; a son, R. Gregg Nabhan and his wife, Jean of Rye, NY; a daughter, Deborah Nabhan Rowland of Worcester; seven grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Nabhan; two brothers, George and Edward Nabhan; and a sister, Eleanor Rawan.
Prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1954, Robert graduated from Worcester Academy and attended Norwich University in Northfield, VT. He owned and operated Nabhan Beauty Supply, a three generation family owned business in the City of Worcester. He was a 30 year member of Pleasant Valley Country Club and also a member of Mount Pleasant Country Club. He was chairman of the St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral Golf Tournament and served for ten years on the Massachusetts State Board of Dentistry.
A private memorial service for Mr. Nabhan will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Academy, 425 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609, or St. John’s High School Building Fund, 378 Main Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
