LANCASTER – Robert L. Culley, Sr., 81, of 289 Seven Bridge Road, died at home on Saturday, March 5, 2005, following a short illness.
He leaves his daughter, Mary L. Hamel of Princeton; three sons, Robert L. Culley, Jr. of Princeton, David C. Culley, Sr. of Lancaster, Lawrence A. Culley of Sterling; two sisters,Betty J. McCumber and Nancy Riley both of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his companion, Eleanor R. Rich; his former wife, Angelina A. (Kristoff) Culley of Leominster; and his dog “Sam”. Nine brothers and sisters predeceased him. He was born in Leominster, son of Frank C. and Mable (Shackett) Culley, and lived most of his life in Lancaster. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Since 1963, Mr. Culley was the founder, owner and operator of Culley’s Snowmobile Ranch in Lancaster. Prior to that he owned Culley’s Construction Company. He most enjoyed his friends, snowmobiling and waterskiing.
The funeral service for Mr. Culley will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, in the Seventh Day Adventist Village Church, 75 Sawyer Street, South Lancaster. Burial will follow in Eastwood Cemetery, Old Common, Lancaster. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling.
