Robert J. Lambert

OAKHAM – Robert “Bob” J. Lambert, 72, of East Hill Road, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Born in Worcester, Bob was the son of Emil N. and Germaine L. (Croteau) Lambert and lived all his life in the Worcester area and recently moved to Oakham.

Bob will be remembered as a wonderful father, husband, and grandfather who was loved by his family for his gentle and kind nature and as someone who generously gave of his time and energy to help others. His passions were reading, fishing, photography, religion, and most of all his family.

Bob was a graduate of Assumption Preparatory School in Worcester. He graduated from Assumption College in 1963, and Suffolk University Law School in Boston in 1980. He started his career at Memorial Hospital where he was director of public relations until becoming their legal counsel in 1981. He later held the position of General Counsel for UMass Memorial Healthcare until shortly before his retirement in 2005. He was an active member at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Worcester.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Ann L. (Connor) Lambert; a son, Mark R. Lambert and his wife Anna of Sudbury; a daughter, Jennifer L. Peloquin and her husband Paul of Oakham; 4 grandchildren, Garrett and Jackie Peloquin, and Mia and Erik Lambert.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 921 Pleasant Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Episcopal Relief and Development, www.er-d.org , 815 Second Avenue, NY, NY 10017.
