STERLING /WALTHAM - Robert F. Kiely, 81, died peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Sterling Village Healthcare and Skilled Nursing Center. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, the son of Maurice and Francis (Farrelly) Kiely and had lived in Waltham and Worcester before moving to Sterling in 2019.
Robert is survived by his sons, Martin Kiely and his wife, Nicole of Waltham and Daniel Kiely and his wife, Amy of Leominster; his daughter, Rachele Kiely of Waltham; his grandchildren, Martina, Jacob, Nicholas and Jack Kiely; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Bear, Rascal and BG. Robert was predeceased by his brothers, Maurice and Jack Kiely.
Robert graduated from Fairfield College-Preparatory School with the class of 1957 and went on to St. Mary’s Seminary & University. He went on to work as a security officer for Raytheon Corp. for over 30 years. Robert loved to travel to Ireland among other places and was a lifelong Cardinals fan. Family was central in Robert's life and he was especially close to his nieces and nephews, who were more like siblings to him.
A memorial service honoring and celebrating Robert's life will be held privately. Arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA
