KANSAS CITY, KS/RUTLAND - Robert E. Forsman, 54, formerly of Rutland, died on June 16, 2013 in Kansas with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survivied by his lifelong soulmate, Denise Wagner and her mother, Joyce Herbst of Oregon; his parents, Carl T. Forsman Sr. of Barre and Lorraine McCarthy and husband Robert of Rutland; his children, Sean Forsman of Paxton, Justin Forsman, Nichole Forsman, and a step-daughter, Jennifer Lewis all of Kansas City; his aunts, Nancy, Mary Jane and Leona, uncles, Billy and Ricky; a sister, Carole Forsman of Barre; a brother, Carl (Butch) T. Forsman Jr. and his wife Donna of Jefferson; a sister-in-law, Sharon Forsman of Maine; stepbrothers, Mark and Michael McCarthy; his granddaughter, Hope; grandsons, Jakob, Casey and Jeremiah; many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends, Kenny and "Mals" Keough. Robert was predeceased by his youngest brother, John, in 2010, his stepmother, Sandra and a granddaughter, Patience.
He attended schools in the Wachusett District. He worked at Cereal Ingredients in Leavenworth, Kansas. He was an avid New England sports fan and recently went to a Red Sox game with four generations of "The Forsman Family". He loved sports, played on many leagues and excelled in darts.
Following a private ceremony on Highland Lake, N.H. there will be a casual remembrance gathering at 2 p.m., on Saturday, July 27, 2013 for family and friends at Butch and Donna's house, 585 Quinapoxet St., Jefferson (Holden).
