RUTLAND - Robert J. Bolduc, age 89, of Rutland, passed away on November 26, 2022 surrounded by loved ones following a long battle with Alzheimer's while living with his son and daughter-in-law in Fairfax, Virginia.
Born and raised in Worcester, Robert was one of three sons born to the late Amede J. and Dianna Pellerin Bolduc. Robert attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade.
A selfless person, Robert went out of his way to help others and was an active husband, father and member of the community. Among many volunteer positions, he most notably along with his wife, Phyllis, served in various capacities with the Meals on Wheels program for over 16 years. As an active father to his sons, Robert was both a Cub Scout Leader and Committee Member and a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Rutland where he was a Sunday School Teacher. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed woodworking, gardening with his wife, reading and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis L. (Rezeszotarski) Bolduc, and brothers, Francis (Frank) A. Bolduc and Edward (Eddie) E. Bolduc.
Robert leaves to mourn his two sons, David L. of Fairfax, VA and Michael P. of Rutland, a daughter-in-law, Leona R. Russell of Fairfax, VA, and grandson, Alexander of Newton, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6th, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 7th at the First Congregational Church of Rutland, 264 Main St., Rutland. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery in Rutland.
