NEW BRAINTREE – Robert W. Clough, 60, of 1120 Worcester Road, died suddenly at home on Monday, August 13, 2007.
He leaves his wife of 20 years, Diane L. (Nanof) Clough; two sons, Gregory S. Caricchio of Dudley and Eric M. Clough and his wife Jennifer of Lunenburg; his father, H. Raymond Clough of North Brookfield; a brother, Thomas R. Clough and his wife Barbara of New Braintree; a nephew, a niece, and a best buddy, Tumble. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Laura E. (Stimson) Clough, and has lived in New Braintree for more than 20 years.
Bob was a graduate of South High School and Worcester State College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a social worker for the Dept. of Social Services for the Commonwealth of Mass. for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved gardening.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 16th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Family and friends are invited to a gathering at the Clough home to share stories and memories of Bob’s life at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 17th. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701; or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
