NATICK / WAYLAND - Robert "Bob" W. Veglia, 65, formerly of Wayland passed away on the morning of Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Bob was born in Boston the son of the late John and Lillian (Smith) Veglia. He lived in several places including Dorchester and Wayland before finally moving to Natick.
For over 25 years he worked as a salesman for Economy Plumbing Supply Co. in Mattapan where he leaves many dear friends and co-workers. Bob was the ultimate handy man and was always ready to help a friend or relative with any car problem, home heating, electrical or plumbing issue. He took special pride in his ability to solve any problem for the people he loved, and he never expected or wanted anything in return. He had a life-long passion for fishing and working on cars, and for spending time with friends and family. Above all he cherished his time with his son and his beloved grandchildren.
Bob will be lovingly missed and remembered by his son, Mark Veglia, and his wife, Valery, of Northborough; his grandchildren, Auri and Bella Veglia; his siblings, Anthony Veglia, and his wife, Lorraine, of Natick; Marie Lobello of Marlborough, Doreen Lehouillier and her husband, Al, of Whitinsville, Linda Veglia of Rhode Island and Deborah Perez of Rhode Island.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring and celebrating Bob's life at 2pm on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., (Rt. 12), Sterling, MA (appropriate Covid-19 precautions will be observed including face masks and social distancing, "Air-hugs" will be greatly appreciated).
